Proposal Guidelines

We welcome your ideas for innovative education and outreach efforts that address our primary focus: disadvantaged children and youth being served by public schools or community-based agencies in the Toledo Area.

When considering the amount of your grant request, please know that the Landman-Goldman Foundation provides approximately $250,000 in total funding each year, which is generally divided among a number of organizations. The foundation focuses on funding operations and rarely makes grants for construction or capital improvements.

Using the online application, please submit the following information for your preliminary proposal. Please limit the length of your request to 600 words.

  • Name and contact information of the individual submitting this grant.
  • Brief history of your organization.
  • Brief overview of the program or project to be funded and the timeline for its implementation if a grant is received.
  • Amount of funding requested, and over what period of time.
  • Brief explanation of how the program/project addresses the root cause of the problem(s) you wish to address.
  • Brief explanation of how outcomes will be measured.
  • Description of how you are collaborating with any other community-based entities on the program for which you are seeking funding.

Please note: If you are asked to submit a final proposal, you will be expected to provide proof of your non-profit tax status, a current audit, and the names of your board members and key staff. Please do not apply if you will be unable to provide this information.
